Between 1900 and 1938, the Zeppelin Company GmbH produced over 100 airships in 27 distinct variations, with the largest being the 1938 LZ 129 – measuring 245 meters in length, 41.2 meters in diameter, and boasting a 200,000 m3 volume. With 4 Daimler diesel engines capable of 4,200 PS, the airship could reach speeds of up to 131 km h and had a range of 12,000 kilometers, allowing for transport of passengers, mail, and cargo to locations such as Japan, North and South America.
